To get rid of beard acne let’s understand what causes it and what’s the best way out.
An acne prone facial skin doesn’t change after growing a beard. In fact, it only increases the problem. One of the prime most reasons is hygiene. An oily face requires extra care to control the oil (sebum) production. Even after you have washed your face during a bath, the beard collects dust, dirt, bacteria and what not during the day. Often men do not clean the face once they are back home, and the problem begins. Oil along with the accumulated dirt leads to acne breakouts.
If you want to prevent the acne in the first place, start washing your beard twice a day, taking time to scrub out the dirt, dust and the underlying oil. Once thoroughly dry, gently massage some beard oil into it to regulate the production of oil on the skin under the beard. Do not forget to comb the beard few times a day to dust off the fine particles, and move the oily, curled hair away from the skin.
Change the pillowcases every third day, and wash your towel on alternate days. In case you use a beard trimmer, make sure to not share it with anyone and keep it clean & hygienic. Exfoliating your face once every week will help clean the face further as it removes all the deep rooted dirt and dead skin.
Healthy practices and few extra minutes every day will ensure you are able to grow and maintain the best beard in your peer group!
